We Are From The Earth(WAFTE) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage people to cultivate their compassion and live a socially conscious lifestyle.
Our mission is to empower people to cultivate compassion and live a socially conscious lifestyle. We are creating a peace movement rooted in each person's inner heart and behavioral transformation. We advocate a "Socially Conscious Lifestyle" that is rooted in compassion. The four attributes of this lifestyle are:
1) Treat yourself and others with compassion
2) Choose socially conscious consumption
3) Apply social consciousness to your work
4) Get active to solve global issues.
Since its founding, WAFTE conducted community events, workshops, live music to spread a socially conscious lifestyle in the Los Angeles area.
In order to maximize our impact, since October in 2019, WAFTE has shifted our platform to a technology. Currently, we have been developing the "WAFTE APP", a mobile application that empowers people to choose a socially conscious lifestyle that leads to their personal happiness as well as positive global change.

Position: Fundraising Assistant
Purpose: We need volunteers who can help us raise funds for our organization by assisting our Fundraing Director in performing various fundraising activities.
Location: This is a virtual volunteer opportunity so that you can work from home while communicating with us through phone/video conferences and emails.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Monitor the progress of fundraising drives.
2) Develop and maintain media contact lists.
3) Support strategies to encourage new or increased contributions.
4) Recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events.
5) Prepare materials for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes, bid sheets, or gift bags.
6) Create or update donor databases.
7) Identify and build relationships with potential donors.
8) Attend community events, meetings, or conferences to promote organizational goals or solicit donations or sponsorships.
9) Contact corporate representatives, government officials, or community leaders to increase awareness of organizational causes, activities, or needs.
10) Design or produce materials such as posters, Web sites, or newsletters to promote, market, or advertise fundraising events.
11) Coordinate special events for fundraising, such as creative events, silent auctions, and raffles.
12) Solicit cash or in-kind donations or sponsorships from individual, business, or government donors.
13) Coordinate transportation or delivery of materials, supplies, or donations for fundraising events.
14) Write and send letters of thanks to donors.
Time Commitment: Hours will fluctuate based on the timing of special events. The average time commitment will be six hours per week.
Support: Training for this position will be provided. Also, the Fundraising Director will be available for questions and assistance.
Age Requirement: 18 Years Old minimum, No Maximum

We raise social awareness such as peace, human rights, and sustainability along with SDGs ( Sustainable Development Goals ). 3. We provide practical solutions for people to make a positive global change in their daily lives and inspire people to use their creativity to create unique solutions. We host monthly creative events which incorporate these principles together with live music, arts, education and social gathering from October in 2018 in Los Angeles.

We also promote the United Nations' SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) which is a universal call set by the United Nations in 2015 to realize sustainable world toward 2030.
The name "We are from the Earth" (WAFTE) was named with hope to inspire people to think we are one human race born on this planet earth transcending all different nationalities and ethnicities.
