Position: Event Videographer

Purpose: To take film footage of WAFTE's creative events and significant special projects. After the event, the videographer may be responsible for editing the film into a final product.

Location: Filming will take place on locatioon, primarily in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan arrea.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Meet with WAFTE management team prior to the event to discuss expectations regarding content
2) Make suggestions, based on prior experinence, as to logistics for camera set-up and positioning
3) Obtain footage in an unobtrusive manner, so as not to interfere with the event proceedings
4) Prior to filming, ensure that cameras and other equipment are in good working order
5) If necessary, coordinate with venue personnel regarding any special lighting or other equipment needs
6) After the event concludes, collect all footage and edit the video into a final cut
7) Produce a comprehensive overview of the event, organizing the film chronologically and splicing in interviews with guests.

Time Commitment: Estimated time commitment (including planning and editing)for each event should be between 20 to 25 hours)

Qualifications:

• Must have your own equipment, in good working order
• Valid driver's license to travel to various event locations
• Must have good computer skills to work with various video editing software programs, such as Adobe, Cinema 4D, and Photoshop
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people of all ages from all walks of life, helping them feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera
• Must have time management skills to work within tight deadlines, capturing action and once-in-a-lifetime moments on camera
• Good verbal communication skills to provide direction to capture the right moments on camera
• Have keen attention to detail to make precise edits to captured video
• Prior videographer training and/or experience
