ORGANIZATION: Hostelling International San Francisco Downtown

HI SF Fisherman's Wharf is looking for San Francisco residents who love their city. Whether you are new to San Francisco or have lived here all your life, all we ask is you are passionate, outgoing and willing to learn some interesting history and facts about the city in which they live. Tour guides offer guests a chance to experience the unique history, architecture, and social fabric of San Francisco's legendary neighborhoods.

Join our diverse team of volunteers who are dedicated to the ideals of a global community and travel. Volunteers meet people from all over the world, share their travel stories, and meet other volunteers with similar interests.

The benefits of volunteering with HI USA include:

  • Meet new people from all over the world, including travelers, staff, and fellow volunteers
  • Work to increase understanding and tolerance by helping people break down cultural barriers
  • Help travelers to the community have a great travel experience
  • Build skills in public speaking, foreign languages and intercultural communication
  • Participate in fun appreciation events for local volunteers
  • Receive personal and professional development opportunities
  • Earn HI USA membership and dorm overnights at HI USA hostels
