ORGANIZATION: Racine Literacy Council

Happy tutors = happy students

The Racine Literacy Council is looking for bilingual individuals to help Spanish-speaking adult students pass their written Driver's test, for both commercial and CDL licenses. Just this year (2018), we were able to help as many as 16 individuals pass their written driver's tests. Students come to us after they've attempted the test, failed, and need assistance to be successful in retaking the test. We are in need of tutors who can speak and understand Spanish, and can translate English driver's education material to Spanish speaking learners. Materials are provided. In addition to driver's education, adults come to the RLC to learn English, obtain their GED, or to improve their literacy skills. We are always looking for new volunteers.

Please consider being a tutor and giving someone the gift of being able to read to their children, advance their career, and feel more independent in our community.

If you are interested, please reach out to us by phone or email. We look forward to hearing from you!
