About us:
We’re an independent non-profit agency that builds, develops, acquires, and manages low- and moderate-income housing in Palo Alto and the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide high-quality, safe housing; subsidize rents to the greatest degree possible, and support our residents in reaching their goals through our Resident Services program. We are searching for volunteers to help us strengthen our services and further our mission!

Arts & Crafts Workshop Facilitator
The Arts & Crafts Facilitator will have a monthly budget and stockpile of supplies to design their own projects. Workshops should generally be open-ended and focus on free expression (a focus on the process, not the outcome), relaxation, connection with the community, and just having fun being creative!
Our ideal volunteer:- Has a passion for all things artsy and crafty
- Is open-mind, warm, and has a relaxed, approachable personality
- Can commit to 1.5-2 hours of workshops once a week for a minimum of 6 weeks
If you love arts & crafts, have an easy-going communication style, and a desire to help older adults enhance their wellness through art, this may be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

Description
Alta manages over 700 units of affordable housing for low-income families and seniors. Alta strives to provide service enriched housing to its residents by offering a comprehensive services program. We provide resources, art classes, ESL classes, computer training, and afterschool programs in addition to community-building activities.
