Arts & Crafts Workshop Facilitator

Palo Alto Housing is seeking a volunteer to lead weekly arts & crafts workshops for adults. Workshops should be a safe space where folks can come and explore art in a relaxing, judgment-free environment and not feel like a formal class with a "teacher". Workshops can focus on sketching, painting, collage, clay work or other creative craft projects.

The Arts & Crafts Facilitator will have a monthly budget and stockpile of supplies to design their own projects. Workshops should generally be open-ended and focus on free expression (a focus on the process, not the outcome), relaxation, connection with the community, and just having fun being creative!

Our ideal volunteer:

• Has a passion for all things artsy and crafty
• Is open-mind, warm, and has a relaxed, approachable personality
• Can commit to 1.5-2 hours of workshops once a week for a minimum of 6 weeks

If you love arts & crafts, have an easy-going communication style, and a desire to help older adults enhance their wellness through art, this may be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
