ORGANIZATION: The Free Clinics
Please visit the new page to apply.
Did you know that you don't need a medical background to volunteer at The Free Clinics?
In addition to our medical/clinical volunteers, many opportunities exist for volunteers with skills as varied as front desk reception, building maintenance, Spanish interpreting, gardening, bicycle repair, and more!
We will present a brief overview of all of the positions and duties that need volunteer assistance to keep The Free Clinics operational, and take you on a short tour of our facility.
The Free Clinics would not be able to continue in our mission of providing access to quality healthcare to our neighbors in need without volunteers like you. Now is a great time to find out how you can help!

Mission Statement
The Free Clinics (TFC) is changing lives together, with hope and health. It enhances the healthcare system in Henderson and Polk Counties and neighboring communities to ensure the accessibility of quality healthcare for uninsured, low-income clients. TFC works with volunteers and partnering healthcare providers to provide healthcare, prevention, education, medication access, and case management services, including specialty referrals.
Description
At The Free Clinics, we know that health is everyone’s responsibility. We are a community of volunteers working together to make Henderson and Polk counties a healthier place to live, work, learn, and play for our neighbors in need and for ourselves. One in 6 residents of our neighbors in Henderson & Polk Counties qualifies for our services; that need has not changed, even after full implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Through The Free Clinics, our community comes together, helping our most vulnerable neighbors address their health concerns--with everything from access to a doctor’s visit and medications to lack of health food or transportation challenges. Helping our neighbors in need helps us all. Anyone can help! We can always use more volunteers, help spreading the word about our services, and, of course, donations. A lot of our donors appreciate knowing that we turn every dollar we receive into ~$5 worth of care for our patients!
