More and more people are choosing Hospice as an option for their end of life care. Hospice is an opportunity that allows clients to remain at home until they pass away so they can be cared for and surrounded by their loved ones. A hospice team is made up of caring clinicians and dedicated volunteers that not only provide supportive services to the individual client but also the client's family and caregivers alike. Volunteers are a valuable part of any hospice team. Hospice volunteers can provide services by visiting with a client to allow the caregiver to rest, run errands, take a well deserved break, go to an appointment and so on. Becoming a Hospice Volunteer is a rewarding dedication of your time. You are providing well needed services at one of the most vulnerable times in not only client's life but the caregiver's life as well and is never undervalued.

Opportunities as a Hospice Volunteer may include:

* Siting with a hospice client while Caregiver/loved one runs errands or go to an appointment
* Sitting with a hospice client so a Caregiver/loved one can take a break
* Providing companionship to our Hospice clients
* Assisting with Bereavement telephone calls to Caregivers after the hospice client has passed on
* Making visits to Caregivers after the hospice client has passed on

Other opportunities you can provide as a Hospice Volunteer if certified:
*Hairdressing
*Reiki
*Massage Therapy
*Therapy Dogs
*Music Therapy and so on!
