Are you a people person who enjoys working with senior adults?
Catholic Charities' Senior Mobile Sites located across Polk County is looking for dependable, organized, friendly, patient and flexible volunteers to oversee programs at their sites.
These sites promote health and wellness through nutrition, socialization, activities and education for men and women over 55 to help meet their needs as they age.
Programming is scheduled by the agency's Program Manager who is available for support and to answer questions.
Training is provided for the Volunteer Lead; duties will include:
- Setup/Cleanup
- Greeting participants
- Record keeping
- Introducing speakers
- Leading chair exercise (training provided)
- Other duties as assigned

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
