FareStart provides a community that transforms lives by empowering homeless and disadvantaged men, women and youth to achieve self-sufficiency through life skills, job training and employment in the foodservice industry. We empower each individual to achieve his or her highest potential by restoring hope, giving respect, nurturing self-confidence, granting trust and creating opportunity.
We need help getting a weekly donation of fruit from Sumner to downtown Seattle! Do you drive that route every day and have extra room in your car? We could use your help supporting FareStart and the people we serve! All food donations are incorporated into nutritious shelter meals by our students and chefs.
- Volunteer must commit to a recurring pickup
- Timing for pickup is flexible between Wednesday and Friday, 7am-2pm
- Pick up in Sumner and drop off at 700 Virginia St, Seattle
- Must first complete driver background check and short driver orientation
