Volunteer at Maya's Place, a therapeutic community for women. Maya's place is an extension of Crossroads for Women, an organization that seeks to provide comprehensive, integrated services to empower women emerging from incarceration to achieve safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives in the community, for themselves and their children.
Your daily tasks will depend on the day-to-day running of the organization but generally, you will be helping staff and clients at the facility. This may include setting up for groups, answering phones, and other miscellaneous tasks. Volunteers are in very high demand here and any and all help will be highly appreciated by staff and clients. Your time will certainly make a difference here.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive, integrated services to support women working to break the cycle of homelessness and incarceration and achieve healthy, stable, and self sufficient lives in the community for themselves and their children.
Description
Crossroads for Women assists women (and their children) who are struggling with homelessness, substance addiction, and mental illness. We provide case management, vocational assistance, family and parenting services, therapeutic, social, and creative groups, individual counseling, and housing assistance. Crossroads for Women is located in downtown Albuquerque.
