We are looking for a few extra volunteers to help us specifically on Mondays from 2:15pm-6:00pm, and some possible Wednesday work. We love floaters who are able to cover a shift last minute. This is a great opportunity for any retired teachers (or anyone!) who are looking to stayed involved with the educational community. We are a welcoming environment that will make you feel good about giving back to teachers and students! Volunteer duties involve checking teachers in and out on the computer, sorting tags, and restocking shelves. You'll get to know hundreds of Marion County teachers and see their bright shining faces

Mission Statement
Teachers' Treasures obtains and distributes school supplies to teachers of classrooms and students in need.
Description
Every day at public, charter, private, and parochial schools located throughout Marion County, children of all ages attend class without the most basic supplies they need to get a good education. Dedicated teachers are often willing to pay for these much needed supplies out of their own pockets to make sure the kids in their classrooms have the necessary tools to learn.
Teachers' Treasures, in partnership with local businesses, charitable foundations, neighborhood organizations and individual contributors, helps fill this need by operating a volunteer based "Free Store for Teachers." Donated educational supplies and other materials are distributed via this unique conduit to teachers for the benefit of their students.
Teachers' Treasures offers a variety of group volunteer activities that can be tailored to your group or organization. Please contact Hanna Yaeger-Busch at hanna@teacherstreasures.org or call 317-264-1758 for more information.
Teachers who volunteer 2 or more hours can earn extra shopping passes. Teachers who are normally ineligible to shop can also volunteer to earn opportunities to shop.
