The services you will give as a Hospice volunteer will profoundly improve the quality of our patients lives. Friendly visits enable families to keep their loved ones at home, around the people they love, and the things they love. Assisting with errands helps a tired family cope with their many challenges and allows them time with their loved one. Simply holding a patient's hand can ease their mind and comfort their spirit.

Support for patients.
This can include a wide variety of activities such as visiting, reading, writing letters, looking at old pictures, and bringing in music.

Respite and support for family members . Volunteers can assist with shopping or light household maintenance, or allow family caregivers the opportunity to take care of necessary errands, exercise, or simply have some time alone.

Administrative work. A volunteer with clerical skills can serve a hospice by helping in the office with administrative duties and putting medical supplies on the storage shelves..

Special skills and interests. Notaries, barbers and beauticians often volunteer their services to patients. Musicians and choirs often volunteer to play at hospice facilities.
