Monthly Beach Cleanups: Assist with and eventually take the lead!

We are looking for reliable, organized, friendly people-person volunteers to assist with set-up (usually 8am...canopy, tables, basic stuff), sign-ins, tallying the days data, and break down (usually around noon). Eventually, the right person could take over the lead on the Beach Cleanups which would include the following duties: correspondence with volunteers; arranging/picking-up supplies a couple days before event, and returning supplies afterward; arranging pick-up of coffee and treats from local bakery 8am; running the cleanup with a welcome/orientation/safety talk; holding down base camp 9a-12noon, talking with curious passersby; overseeing the weighing of trash brought in, disposing of trash properly at end of event. We would make sure you have 1-2 other volunteers to assist with tasks during the event.

These are fun, casual events, with lots of smiling faces out doing good in our community. Occasionally there may be private corporate cleanups you could take on as well.
