Do you love maple syrup? Join the New Canaan Nature Center Naturalists in preparing for syrup season (washing buckets, flagging & tapping maple trees, etc.), collecting 5 gallon buckets of sap (both on-site and off-site at the New Canaan Country Club), and taking part in boil downs (where REAL maple syrup is made right here at the nature center)! This is a very hands-on and outdoors volunteer position!
Estimated time frame: January 23rd - the end of March
Looking for interns/volunteers who can help out for a couple of hours at least 2-3 times per week. Days/times are flexible, but typically the most help is needed within the time-frame of our operating hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.
