"Girls who Code," is a free, volunteer based program that provides programming materials and directions for Facilitators to work with and mentor girls in the area of coding /computer science. We are looking for a strong female mentor/coder that could lead our upper elementary girls toward the technology fields and inspire a "can do" engineering/computer science attitude.
The "Girls who Code," program would be offered during our Wednesday Club sessions from 2:45 to 3:45 P.M. Our clubs meet for a 6-week period, with a 2 to 3 week interim, with no clubs, followed by another 6-week session. The McKinley Elementary Librarian, Ms. Bishop, will provide oversight and guidance for this club.
