ORGANIZATION: Goodwill Gulf Coast

Community Volunteer Assists with Adult Literacy
Hundreds of adults seek help from Goodwill Easter Seals each year to improve their educational level. Volunteer tutors change the future for these students.

Living in an adopted country is not easy. Reading signs in the grocery or on the street, notes home from teachers, or mail can make a person feel like an outsider. YOU can help someone feel a part of their world by helping tutor English Language Learners! We need you in Mobile County at Goodwill Gulf Coast Community Center, 300 - F Azalea Road, Mobile, AL 36609. Use our curriculum to teach simple English rules and phrases, or civics toward passing the citizenship exam. You will be assisting an onsite instructor (so you don't have to know it all yourself)! You don't need to know a second language yourself--you will be making someone feel grateful and more at home!

Please check with the location for current precautions: bring a facial covering, and plan to social distance. Please stay home if you are sick.

Contact Lydia at 251-380-7150 or lgaudet@goodwillgc.org for locations and class times.
