A 55 year old woman living with ALS and her husband are looking for help. They need help cleaning their bathroom floors and tub. Ideally, they’d like the same person to brush their golden retriever and multi-mix puppy while they’re there. Because of her ALS, the woman is no longer able to do either of these tasks. They’re looking for two hours of help every other week on the weekends.

What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
