Spring Fling is a special event for parents and their children with behavioral challenges as well as their siblings and friends. The event is meant to get families together for a fun morning that allows their children, with behavioral challenges, to practice good behavior in a community event. The event features caricatures, face painting, inflatables, carnival games and more. We are looking for volunteers to help with the various activities and the inflatables.
The event is held indoors at Tuesday's Child, 3633 North California Avenue, in the gymnasium in Chicago.

Mission Statement
Tuesday’s Child mission is to enable families to thrive though positive parent training, inclusive behavioral classrooms and support services. Our proven model impacts home, school and the community.
Description
In 1980, Tuesday’s Child was established as a research program to address not only the needs of children who displayed aggressive and hard to control behaviors due to biological or environmental risk factors, but also the needs of their family members. Tuesday’s Child’s approach was twofold: the child would receive intervention in a therapeutic environment, and the parents would receive support, training and ongoing individualized feedback on issues pertaining to their children’s development and behavior. The program enjoyed remarkable success with both the children and their families. Outstanding changes were observed in not only the behavior and development of the children, but in the dynamics of family life and daily interactions between parents and children. In 1984 Tuesday’s Child was established as an independent 501c3 non-profit corporation to continue its mission: "to help families establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with their children from the earliest stages and to help children, especially those at risk for failure, to enter school ready to learn." Over the years, Tuesday’s Child has been acknowledged for its successful and exemplary program. In 1994, it was nationally recognized as a model program in child and family intervention by the American Psychological Association. In 2006 Tuesday’s Child was recognized for its excellence in serving communities by SBC/AT&T, and was also the recipient of the 2006 Nuestro Futuro Philanthropic Award.
