Do you love shopping and organizing closets and wardrobes? We have a role for you assisting the Sisters of Charity - Halifax in Wellesley, MA. As needed, you will spend time with a Sister organizing their wardrobes assessing what new items may be needed or recycled. You may look through catalogs for new clothes, shoes, accessories or personal items. Another option is to transport the Sister to a real store, if possible. We provide the car and gas for the trip.
If you transport, as a companion you will accompany retired Sisters of Charity for the full duration of their local trips or be part of a transport team. You can be a driver, a companion or both using one of our cars. You should be able to help to accommodate Sisters with cognitive impairments, hearing loss, walkers and collapsible wheelchairs.
If you are able and it is needed, you may companion some Sisters who require more support than others due to memory loss. Primarily, your attention and companionship will provide the most benefit.

We, Sisters of Charity - Halifax are a congregation of consecrated women sharing the gift of a call to give joyful witness to Love. Associates are men and women who recognize the charism of charity within themselves and share in our mission and goals.
