Event tabling will run for multiple hours. The volunteer will need to arrive early (typically 30 minutes to an hour) prior to the event beginning. They will be responsible for setting up the table and displays at and around the table. The volunteer will "work" the event talking to people walking by the display and answering questions about organ donation and procurement. The volunteer will have to remain after the event to breakdown and clean up the area around the OurLegacy/Donate Life table. Depending on the length and size of the event the setup, hosting, and breakdown may be divided among multiple volunteers.

Some of these events will be set up by the OurLegacy PR team, while others by the volunteer. Once the volunteer has completed training, they will be allowed to contact organizations to setup speaking arrangements. If the event is large the OurLegacy PR team can support the volunteer by recruiting more volunteers, helping gather more speakers, and/or accompanying the volunteer.

Benefits: The volunteer will go through a OurLegacy training about the mission and function of the organ procurement program and the Donate Life programs. The volunteer will have the ability to practice their tabling skills with the OurLegacy PR team and gain knowledge on the computer-based registration system. This position provides valuable experience for event planning and management; individuals

with an interest in gaining experience in the non-profit sector or in organ procurement and transplant; and anyone with a passion for helping and educating others.

Working an event will give the volunteer the opportunity to speak with medical professionals, community organizations, and any possible organ donors/volunteers to help spread the message about organ donation and donate life.
