The St. Paul Park Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Reserve Officer. Police Reserve Officers are citizen volunteers who assist the police department with various responsibilities. Responsibilities include assisting with Heritage Days (our town celebration), parade details, patrol, community events, National Night Out, emergencies, and mutual aid to local communities.
Volunteering as a Reserve Officer provides a great opportunity for those considering a career in law enforcement to gain experience, as well as for those who are looking to give back to the community. Police Reserves participate in regular training, conducted by St. Paul Park Police Officers, that is designed to prepare them for their duties as Reserve Officers as well as increase their knowledge of law enforcement operations.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, live within a 30 minute commute of St. Paul Park. Applicants also must successfully pass the screening process which includes an oral board interview and a background/criminal history check.
