VITAS Volunteers can assist with spiritual care by:
-Being present with the patient and family
-Listening with sensitivity and openness
-Honoring and respect the patient’s faith traditions
-Encouraging practice of spiritual rituals such as meditation, scripture reading or prayer

VITAS integrates volunteers into the hospice program by actively recruiting, training, supporting and creatively utilizing volunteers to meet patient and family needs. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes. We serve all of Central Florida.
