The City of Mesquite's Animal Services Department is in need of a committed volunteer to help with administering its volunteer program. Working under the direct supervision of the Animal Shelter Adoption Coordinator, this valued volunteer will take videos and photos of animals, assist with social media posts, recruit and onboard volunteers, and assist with logging the department's volunteer hours in our volunteer tracking system, Volgistics.
We're looking for someone who is willing to volunteer every week and is not afraid of a good challenge. The time schedule is flexible but must occur between the hours of 8am and 5pm on weekdays. Office space and a computer for working are provided. Even though there is no salary for the work, the satisfaction of helping with this worthy cause will make a difference in the lives of our sweet furry friends.

Volunteers can enhance and augment the City's ability to provide quality services to the community by participating in a variety of City programs and activities. In return, volunteers receive an opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge, while becoming better prepared to participate in government and to influence decisions affecting their community.
