Camp Erin Pittsburgh is an overnight weekend camp for children and teenagers, ages 6-17, who are grieving the death of someone significant to them, whether recently or years ago. It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education, peer bonding, and emotional support. Camp Erin is a partnership with Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, the Eluna Network, and YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee Spencer. Camp Erin is free to all campers.
Camp Erin is made possible through the support of many dedicated volunteers who serve as Cabin Big Buddies and as other support staff to assist with camp activities.

Mission Statement
"Because Every Day Matters" These are more than just words. It's the belief that we matter each day of our lives, and it's the philosophy of care provided to our patients. We are all on the journey of life, and at Good Samaritan Hospice, we embrace our patients and share in their journeys. It's about connecting. It's about sharing. It's about quality end-of-life care. "Because Every Day Matters"
Description
Good Samaritan Hospice provides compassionate, individualized care for people facing a life-limiting illness and their families. Patients living at home, in nursing homes, or the home-like settings of our two in-patient centers in Wexford, and Heritage Valley in Beaver, are cared for by family and loved ones with the support of hospice staff and volunteers.
People with terminal illness and those close to them have special physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs. Volunteers play a vital role in meeting those needs, allowing patients to live their lives as fully and comfortably as possible. Volunteers add a personal touch which assists patients and families at one of the most crucial steps in life's journey.
