Parkside Elementary in Clinton is seeking "Volunteer Grandparent" Reading Mentors for Fourth Grade students. Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday from 11:30-12:15. You can volunteer 1 or more days per week. You will help children who are struggling to read at their grade level by providing one-on-one listening, helping to sound out new words, and helping model fluency and expression in reading. Your enthusiasm and caring will help to introduce them to the wonder and delights of reading.

Davis Co. RSVP makes it easier for volunteers who are age 55 or greater to participate by providing benefits for your volunteer service. By becoming a member of RSVP, you can be reimbursed for your travel mileage to and from the school, up to 200 miles per month.
