We are offering four different opportunities to strengthen math skills and engage kids with math in extracurricular activities in the Cambridge Public Schools, a district with a significant percentage of high needs students, including students whose first language is not English.

1. Before-school Math Olympiad slated to begin in January, for 6-8 graders at one upper school.
Schedule: Tuesdays, 7:45-8:45 a.m.
Training and Orientation for Volunteers is tentatively scheduled for December 12, 2018.

2. Coaches for the Crazy 8's Math Club
After school, at one elementary school (each-week session serves a different grade). Various start dates.
Schedule: Wednesdays, 2:30-3:45

3. Drop-in (Morning) Math Volunteers at CRLS
Cambridge's one district-level, comprehensive high school. These sessions are drop-in sessions when you'll be available for any student who seeks help with math.
Schedule: 7:30-8:00 a.m. any day of the week.

4. One-to-one math tutors at CRLS
One-to-one tutors are always in demand at the high school! We require a commitment of one hour a week for at least one semester. At the high school, the first semester ends January 18, and new classes begin January 22, but students may request a tutor at any time during the semester.
Schedule: Any weekday, 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
