Role Name: SEO Specialist
Min Qualifications required: Bachelor’s/ Master’s
Min Experience Required: (in no.of yrs) 1
Experience or Knowledge in a specific subject or area required: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in business, marketing, communications or information technology. Hands-on proven experience managing SEO campaigns
Minimum Volunteer hours required: (in hrs per week) 5
Project outline: Managing website development projects from inception to launch, and for developing, executing, and optimizing SEO campaigns
Role Summary: Manage all search engine optimization activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks

Essential Tasks: Liaison with the web design & web development teams to launch and manage web development projects (landing pages, microsites, new websites )
Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
Drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Develop link building strategy
Ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented
Run SEO projects from ideation to completion - on-page optimizations, off-page/outreach/link building, Social Media/SEO collaborations
Manage and optimize all SEO initiatives to maximize marketing KPIs (reach, rankings,conversion)

Skills & Competencies:
Experience with WordPress architecture, and proficient with themes, plugins, and custom development
Experience with responsive design
In-depth experience with website analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrendsExperience in A/B testing with copy, display ads, landing pages/microsites, and negative keyword
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
Strategize ways to improve and track site performance

Software tools & Program knowledge: WordPress architecture, Google Analytics, A/B testing, SEO tools,HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development, Adobe Creative Suite
