Love animals? We do too! We are seeking highly motivated, animal-loving volunteers to assist us with caring for our animals and helping to clean their enclosures. You will get the opportunity to be up-close-and-personal with lions, tigers, bears, oh my! and so many more amazing animals as you clean their enclosures. Of course, the animals will be secured! Join our team and help provide a clean, healthy home for our animals. Eventually, you will have the opportunity to advance onto Animal Enrichment Teams.
Volunteer Orientation is held on the second Saturday of each month from 9AM-4PM, weather permitting. At the Orientation, you will be given an overview of the expectations and opportunities that are available. Please bring a bag lunch and any snacks and water you will need for the whole day. Volunteers must 18 years of age or older.
The Orientation is a full day, from 9 am - 4 pm. The Orientation introduction will be from 9 am to 12 pm, during which you will be taken on a tour through the compound, so that you can meet our many residents and hear their stories! During the lunch break, you will have an opportunity to meet some existing volunteers and ask questions, and hear about some of their experiences. Following lunch, you will begin your first training, so be prepared to work and learn (and get dirty!)!

The mission of the Wildlife Waystation is to rescue and provide sanctuary for native and exotic wildlife both nationally and internationally.
Description
Wildlife Waystation was founded by Martine Colette in 1965 and incorporated in 1976, the Wildlife Waystation is located on 160 acres in the Angeles National Forest in Southern California. Helping care for over 400 exotic animals 24 hours a day is exciting and rewarding. Since 1976, WW has helped more than 76,000 abused, abandoned, orphaned, and injured animals. These include Siberian and Bengal tigers, lions, leopards, ligers, jaguars, mountain lions, wolves, coyotes, camels, primates, hyenas, bears, foxes, reptiles, exotic birds, birds of prey, and more.
WW receives no funding from federal, state, or local governments, but is supported solely by private donations, foundation and corporate grants, bequests and animal sponsorships. The sanctuary is staffed 24 hours-a-day, 7 days a week by a professional staff and highly trained and dedicated volunteers.
