Calling all volunteers! Join The Columbus Historical Society (CHS) and be a part of history! We are in need of office volunteers to assist us in telling the story of our great city.
We are looking for office volunteers on Tuesday and Friday between 9:30-2:30. Volunteers must be able to help for at least a two hour time block, twice a month during these time frames. Weekly or flexible schedule available.

Description:
Volunteers will assist with membership lists and mailings, data entry, social media, development tasks, event and programming tasks, and special projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Highly prefer a volunteer with strong customer service experience
* Interest in history
*Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
*Experience with historical research a bonus

Description
The Columbus Historical Society puts on several porgrams throughout the year on different topics related to the history of Columbus. We have also published a children's book that has been used in local school systems for teaching Columbus history.
Additionally, we maintain a gallery in the Jefferson Center showcasing different collection of artifacts, papers, artwork related to Columbus.
Our goals as an organization are -
- Build awareness of Columbus and Central Ohio history
- Create an expanded exhibit space
- Create an accessible archive to protect artifacts
- Improve access to Central Ohio history via publications, the internet and site visits
