Help us bring holiday cheer to the children of Houston. On Sunday, December 9th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, Sheldon Lake State Park will be hosting its annual Holiday in the Park. Families can enjoy Christmas themed crafts, a scavenger hunt, and even take photos with Santa himself! Please contact Taylor.Shimabukuro@tpwd.texas.gov or (281)456-2800 ext. 230 to get involved.

Description
Sheldon Lake State Park and Environmental Learning center provides outdoor recreational and educational opportunities for the people of Houston and surrounding areas. The park is free to the public, and open Sunday through Saturday from 8 am-5 pm. Established as a state park in 1984, Sheldon Lake State Park focuses on educating the community on the importance of environmental stewardship. Visitors are welcome to enjoy fishing, hiking, or participate in ranger led programs.
