Come help sort, stock, steam, polish, price, and/or enjoy donated household items, clothing and accessories, craft/hobby items/books, staff the sales floor, interact with customers, etc. at downtown Portland's best stocked and organized charity thrift store.
You can pick and choose your tasks - arranging new stock in the store, steaming clothes, sorting donations, packaging and pricing items, staffing the fitting room, interacting with customers, sorting books, etc., etc.
Volunteers get 20% discount on their purchases; free parking is also available.
Regular hours on a weekly basis appreciated but not required. Store operates Wednesday through Saturday, 11-4. All your work goes to support a very necessary and highly successful charity!

Mission Statement
To financially support the women and children of McAuley Residence, a nonprofit residential/life-change support program for single women recovering from addiction who have young children.
Description
Still A Good Cause is a charity thrift shop with the best/cleanest/thriftiest/best organized merchandise in town. ALL proceeds go to support the McAuley Residence, a nonprofit program providing long-term residential opportunities for single mothers with children where the mothers are recovering from drug or alcohol addiction. Five staff members earn minimum wage; the need for volunteers to help with all tasks is great. The shop also supports the 600 Section 8 seniors living in the building housing the thrift shop by providing affordable clothing, household goods, and hobby/craft supplies.
