Hope Partnership for Education
Breaking the cycle of Poverty through Education

Hope Partnership for Education is a leading educational provider, partner, and resource in the North Philadelphia community we serve. Hope offers a comprehensive Adult Education program for all learner levels, from early literacy to High School Equivalency Exam preparation. Our small class size, multidisciplinary approach, and learner-centered curriculum provides a supportive learning environment for adults of all ages.

We seek experienced educators to teach REMOTELY for the fall semester. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (Eastern Time) and we will accept instructors from outside the Philadelphia region. Classes are taught for 1 hour, once or twice weekly. (If you are in the Philadelphia region, we'd love to keep you around when we return to in-person learning.)

We are especially interested middle-school level SCIENCE and LANGUAGE ARTS instructors.

Our instruction has shifted to remote learning due to COVID-19, as many of our adult learners are older and in high-risk categories. As such, we need remote instructors who can be patient with technology struggles and enthusiastic enough to keep faraway learners engaged. If this sounds like you, let us know!

Strong academic programs are critical to the success of Hope Partnership for Education. An important part of our mission is to prepare students for acceptance into the high schools that best match their potential. Most students enter Hope Partnership several grade levels behind in all subject areas. In order to provide students with the extra support that they require, Hope Partnership operates an extended day/extended year model 9 hours a day, 11 months a year. Beyond its academic program, the school offers enrichment activities, one-to-one tutoring, and community service projects that foster the personal and intellectual development of all its students.
