HAVERHILL, MA: Volunteers needed for upcoming Budget Buddies programs with Emmaus! Be part of Budget Buddies' mission to promote financial literacy and confidence among low-income women! Join us for a unique program that combines instructional workshops and individual, one-to-one coaching. An hour a week of your time can start a woman in your community on the road to financial independence. No financial expertise is required. All you need is the desire to help someone in your community make the most of the money she has. Learn more at an upcoming Volunteer Information Night in Haverhill. Description
Emmaus Inc. was incorporated in 1985 and seeks to relieve the plight of the homeless through emergency shelter, permanent affordable housing, education and job training, and comprehensive support services.
Emmaus has served homeless families and individuals since January 1987. Each year, Emmaus helps over 2,500 different women, men, and children. On any given night, over 300 adults and children call Emmaus "home". Emmaus provides over 80,000 meals annually to our shelter guests and housing residents.
