Spread the Cheer, Become a December Nights Volunteer
Everyone’s favorite kickoff celebration to the holiday season is just around the corner, and one of the best ways to experience December Nights is as a volunteer. Not only will you meet a ton of people, but you’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy the festivities! Volunteers greet visitors at information booths, working one 3-to-4-hour shift during the event. All necessary training is provided. Just bring your holiday spirit, knowledge and love of Balboa Park.
Festival Shifts:
- Friday, December 6 th
- 7 pm -10:30 pm
- Saturday, December 7 th
- 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Details
- Attend a pre-December Nights training session Monday, Dec. 2 nd from 2:30 pm-4 pm at Alhambra Room, House of Hospitality, Balboa Park.
- Info Booths will operate rain or shine!
- Carpooling highly encouraged. Parking passes may be available.
- If you know of other family/friends that would like to volunteer on the same shift as you, please let us know on the application form.

We bring the skills, experience, knowledge and leadership of our expert staff, diverse board of trustees and professional network to build community and deepen impact. We use our voice, influence and connections with park stakeholders, government officials, and community and business leaders to advocate for the best version of Balboa Park possible. We provide staff, volunteers, materials, data, funding and other critical resources to serve priority park initiatives.
