We are looking for young ladies in grades 6 to 12 to become outreach captains for the various programs sponsored by the SoulDeevas.
The SoulDeevas includes various programs for girls in grades 6 to 12, but one challenge that we have faced is that we haven't been able to get the information out to enough young ladies. We are trying to build arts programs that increase performing and competitive opportunities for girls in the Northeast.
Team Outreach Captains would pick a program that they are most interested in and then they would help us promote auditions by putting it on their social media and handing out flyers in their schools (or sending information by email). We are looking for outreach captains for the month of November as our teams will be auditioning in December. In return, we will award service hours for your participation. If you choose to participate on one of the teams, you can participate for free. We would also ask you to connect to our social media pages and share audition information as appropriate.
Our teams practice for three out of four Saturdays every month (4:30pm to 6:30pm) and are trained for local and national competitions. Here are the teams we are recruiting for -
a. New Jersey Senior Majorettes (Grades 6 to 12)
b. New Jersey Step Team (Grades 6 to 12).
All of our teams rehearse at a location in Downtown Rahway, New Jersey.

Description
Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
