This Leap Year consider becoming a volunteer with The Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke serves seniors (50+) who no longer drive. We seek bilingual (Spanish-English) volunteer drivers to provide rides to and from medical, dental, and physical therapy appointments in our service area (central Fairfax, Fairfax City and Burke). Drivers can also volunteer to take seniors to local shopping, such as grocery stores. Both medical and shopping round trips typically take two hours. Rides occur on weekdays, during business hours.
Driving one trip per month, or more if your schedule allows, would be a wonderful way to help your community.

Description
The Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke was established in 2006 as a non-profit organization that supports older adults in the local community. SCFB provides medical and shopping transportation, social events, exercise classes, luncheons, and educational classes to seniors, age 50+, so they may live independently and with dignity.
