General volunteers to help with set up/clean up, selling concessions, and assisting as needed. We'd love if you would help for the entire 3.5 hours, but we are open to being flexible if you need to work part of the time.

The event is the Light Up the Night Parade and Holiday Beach Party at Lake Sammamish State Park, 4:30 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2.

The parade will be made up of people who come wearing their finest holiday lights. With battery operated LED lights, and twinkling sweaters and hats, we anticipate people will get creative. The parade will be led by Hoopsmiles LED hula hoops. Decorated wagons, strollers, tricycles and more are also encouraged. There will be prizes for the most creative lighted participants. The parade will begin at the Sunset Beach parking lot, proceed on the entry road and loop around the playground and past the bathhouse.

There will be festive entertainment by Joyas Mestivas with music, dance and regional costuming of Mexico. Concessions will be available. Bonfires on the beach will take away the chill.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to the following Sunday, Dec. 9. Light Up the Night is free, courtesy of Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park.
