Bereavement Volunteers offers emotional support, companionship, assistance and other supportive services to bereaved families, significant others and/or caregivers. Maintains contact through visits or telephone calls and may assist in bereavement educational or peer support group. Additionally, identify, (with input and direction of the Bereavement Coordinator) bereaved individuals needing home visits or calls from the bereavement staff.

Life Comfort Care Volunteers help our families in these ways:
- Friendly visits to patients and their families
- Preparing meals for patients and families
- Assisting in light household chores
- Sitting with patients to provide companionship and a comforting presence
- Playing music for patients to provide a soothing and joyful atmosphere
- Respite relief for family caregivers
- Bereavement services for family members
- Office tasks, such as typing and answering phones
- Assist at conferences and training sessions
