Our next Volunteer Open House will be on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Please visit our website, http://www.californiamuseum.org/voh-2019, to register your free spot!
In order to be considered for a position within our volunteer corps, please attend one of our Volunteer Open House events. These events include a chance to meet with Museum Staff and current volunteers while learning more about our positions and programs. Volunteer positions at the Museum feature in-depth training, flexible schedules and benefits include free memberships, store discounts, volunteer outings and more.
PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers are required to go through a background check at the cost of $25.00, which may be tax deductible, and attend our three-week training program which will take place on August 11th, 18th & 25th from 1:00-4:00pm.

Description
The California Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone with an interest in California history, art and culture available throughout the week in flexible 2 hour intervals. Volunteers are instrumental in making the Museum experience memorable for over 125,000 visitors each year, in positions ranging from gallery guides, special events, and more. Benefits include free a Museum membership after 40 hours of volunteer service, a discount in Museum Store, free event attendance and the opportunity to help the Museum meet its mission to educate, enlighten and inspire visitors with California history, arts and culture.
