Do love working with children? Volunteer to help at the pre-concert festival before our next LolliPops performance! We need help with the instrument petting zoo, crafts, face painting, and other tasks. No musical experience is necessary!

Time: 9:45-11:00 am, 2 volunteers needed 11:00-12:00 for our sensory friendly room

Location: Rhythm Hall (Grace Street Doors) at the Dominion Energy Center (612 E. Grace St., RVA)

Parking: Most street parking is free on Saturdays or the surface lots north & south of the building. If you are being dropped off, use the bubble cut on the west bound side of Grace.

Dress: Wear comfortable pants and shoes as you are likely to be on the floor helping kids. YOP members, please wear your t-shirt. Do not bring your instrument.

Event Description:

Kick-off the holiday season with the Richmond Symphony! This charming animated film tells the story of a young boy’s magical friendship with a snowman. Enjoy other holiday favorites during this program as well.

The Richmond Symphony performs, teaches, and champions music to inspire and unite our communities. There are plenty of ways to help whether it is working with children, planning, ushering, administration, or even volunteering from home. Music experience or knowledge is not needed, but can be helpful in some positions!

Description

Founded in 1957, the Richmond Symphony is the largest performing arts organization in Central Virginia. The organization includes an orchestra of more than 70 professional musicians, the 150-voice Richmond Symphony Chorus and more than 260 students in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra programs. Each season, more than 200,000 members of the community enjoy concerts, radio broadcasts, and educational outreach programs. The Richmond Symphony is partially funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
