Ariva provides free tax returns for the lower income households of NYC, but seeing as all our services are free, we need more man power to meet the demand...and that's where you come in!

Volunteer Income tax assistants have the opportunity to receive IRS certified tax training, and upon completion of the test, their primary duties will be preparing tax returns. Alternative activities include, intake (help with customer service) and data entry (the IRS requires us to take polls of all of our customers). Also, volunteers are required to pass a "volunteer state of conduct" test and "an intake/interview and quality review" test (but it's super easy and the set up is similar to blackboard).

There are 12 sites in both Manhattan and The Bronx during tax season. We have morning, evening, and weekend hours with no problem working around your schedule and getting you into your preferred location!
