Junta for Progressive Action is collaborating with Connecticut Food Bank and Fair Haven Community Health Care to provide mobile pantry services to the Fair Haven community. The mobile pantry will run on the 3rd Saturday of every month at the John Martinez School. We are looking for 6 dedicated team leaders to coordinate the distribution, including set-up, replenishment of inventory and clean up; check-in and supervise volunteers; and serve as contact with CT Food Bank's Coordinator. Team leaders will be asked to serve as lead at least 2 times a year. Additional months are available based on interest in leading the team. Training will be provided by the CT Food Bank. CT Food Bank driver and warehouse worker will also be on site.

Its mission is to provide services, programs and advocacy that improve the social, political and economic conditions of the Latino community in Greater New Haven, while nurturing and promoting its cultural traditions as it builds bridges with other communities.
Description
Junta, Inc. has been helping the latino community of New Haven for 49 years. We are involved in all aspects of helping the community from housing, ESL, GED and computer classes to employment search and resume preparation.
