Baby pines, manzanita, buckwheat, sagebrush and yerba santa need your hands and hearts to help get them planted in the ground near the Mojave Poppy Perserve.
Can you dig a hole? or handle a watering hose? make a protective cage (with instruction)? and tamp soil around tender roots? and make a berm?
If so, we've got about 100 plants going in along an old road that is going back to nature, hopefully in one day. All you need is sturdy boots and warm clothes, lunch and your spirit to help restore the land.

Mission Statement
Habitat Works is a volunteer environmental stewardship organization, improving wildlife habitat in Southern California's forests, wildlife refuges, state parks and private preserves.
Description
Habitat Works hosts single-day habitat restoration projects, weekend campouts and backpacking trips in Southern California's precious National Forests, private preserves and State and National Parks. Volunteers learn about our own local ecology, native flora and fauna and the challenges they face, and have the hands-on opportunity to improve conditions in Southern California wildlife habitat. Spend time in nature while making a difference - caring for our natural environment. We look forward to meeting and working with you soon!
