The Heritage Library is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to handle the following responsibilities:

1. Overall - responsible for enlisting current volunteers to support various functions/activities that the library promotes and/or participates; includes:
   1. Library historical tours
   2. Library functions such as Ghosts and Myths, Colonial Christmas
   3. History Day
   4. History Forum
   5. Additional activities/functions as needed at the library
2. Managing tour schedules with those volunteers that are tour guides: (February - November)
   1. Reviewing and assigning tour guides to dates of respected tours
   2. Notifying each week the tour guides of customers for the respected tours, and advising how many are attending
   3. Replacing tour guides as needed
3. Posting Volunteer Opportunities as needed or requested by Library Staff Members
4. Maintaining/Updating the Library (Hilton Head and Beaufort locations) events/activities on area media outlet calendars - HHI Chamber of Commerce, ACCH Calendar, Bluffton and HHI newspapers, etc.

The individual must have good people skills; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
