Volunteer Shoreline Cleanup and A Plastic Ocean Documentary Viewing

Come be a part of America Recycles Day by lending a hand to clean up the Liberty State Park shoreline and remove plastics and other debris that has washed in with the tide. Location details TBD.

The cleanup will run from 10:00 AM - Noon. After the cleanup, please join us at 1:00 PM for a viewing of the documentary A Plastic Ocean. The film focuses on the vast amount of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans and its impact on the marine environment.

This program is appropriate for adults and families with children ages 8 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited. For more information or to register, please contact the Nature Interpretive Center at 201-915-3400 x202 or email LSPNatureCenter@dep.nj.gov. Free parking is available.
