Bluebird Nestboxes
Restoring Bluebird Habitat

Come help restore a vibrant Western Bluebird population at Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge, located a few miles south of Maricopa (2 hour drive from the San Fernando Valley).

We are producing and installing Bluebird nest boxes in strategic areas throughout this closed-to-the-public national wildlife refuge, set aside for the recovery of endangered California Condors.

You will need some physical stamina for hiking, digging, and general handy skills, sturdy boots and clothing.

We'll enjoy a community feast and optional overnight campout on the refuge, a privilege rarely available.

Bring your Spirit of Adventure and enthusiasm for little blue birds!
