Hoosier Burn Camp, Inc. is seeking a volunteer videographer to join our photo/video team during our week-long, resident summer camp.
May 25-31, 2019 we will hold the 21st annual Hoosier Burn Camp Summer Camp. Roughly 70 young burn survivors, ages 8-18 and 55-60 volunteer staff will attend a week-long overnight summer camp. During the week, campers engage in traditional and unique camp activities and programs designed to build confidence and self-esteem, stimulate independence and create lasting friendships and support networks with others who have also experienced the physical and emotional trauma of a severe burn injury.
We currently have a team of photographers who capture 5,000-10,000 photos and hours of video footage. Photos and videos are posted to social media and at the end of the week are compiled into commemorative slideshows and videos for campers and parents. We also use these images to effectively tell our story to donors, volunteers and other stakeholders.
We are seeking a dedicated videographer to capture high-quality video throughout the entire week of camp and edit/produce this footage for the final slideshow and video at the end of the week. All Hoosier Burn Camp Summer Camp volunteers are required to attend a spring staff training weekend 9AM March 2 - 12pm March 3, 2019, and the entire week of camp May 25-31, 2019.

Hoosier Burn Camp is a nonprofit organization committed to providing life-changing experiences for young people from infancy through young adulthood who have suffered the physical and mental trauma associated with a severe burn injury.
Our largest annual event is summer camp, but we also host monthly events throughout the year. Hoosier Burn Camp provides a place for burn survivors to feel safe and supported in an environment where no one is made to feel different because of their physical injuries.
Hoosier Burn Camp programs help burn survivors from infancy through young adulthood build self-esteem and realize their highest potential as they overcome the pain and trauma associated severe burn injury.
We create worry-free environments where young burn survivors can just be one of the kids(tm) while they develop the personal strength to reach their highest potential.
Through the monetary generosity of donors and emotional generosity of volunteers, we are able to provide our character-building experiences at no cost to campers and their families.
