Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Are you a good communicator? Do you enjoy supporting
organizations that strive to make a difference in the local community?
The position: Assist Columbia Slough Watershed Council staff with the annual Willamette Week Give
Guide and end of year giving season!
Willamette Week Give Guide: Is an end-of-year giving platform specifically targeted towards donors
under 35. The Give Guide highlights the work of 150 local nonprofits in 8 different categories, this is the
Council’s second year in the Give Guide and we are looking to build on the success of last year! We
depend on this revenue to continue our amazing programming in education, stewardship and
community events.
Your commitment: Between 2-4 hours per week, from mid-November, 2018 - January 10th, 2019
Essential duties and responsibilities:
● Assist in preparation of a small fundraising event on December 13th
● Assist with data entry and thank you mailings
● Promote Give Guide and the CSWC using online resources such as social media
● Contact and follow up with community members about donating through Give Guide
● Assist in distribution of incentive gifts to donors
Qualifications:
● Interest in nonprofit development work
● Ability to communicate effectively to the community
● Interest in event planning
● Interest in database entry or creating content for social media
Volunteer benefits:
