Bell ringers represent The Salvation Army in the most positive light. They spend their hours ringing and greeting tourists, locals, families, and kids to raise funds for The Salvation Army, in which for our specific center goes towards Children's Education Programs, Senior Enrichment Programs, Youth Sports, Health and Wellness Programs, Arts and Music Programs, and Housing for Chronically Homeless Vets and Persons. Ringing The Salvation Army can be the first glimpse for some and the only interaction some people have with our organization.
We supply you with aprons and bells and buckets and signs. We welcome you to dress festively in holiday outfits or in whatever is most comfortable and warm. If you play an instrument or sing or have a cute pet, please feel free to use these talents or bring your pet along while at the kettle.

Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
he 63,000 square-foot San Francisco Kroc Center redefines what a community center is all about. The unprecedented place of gathering and enrichment houses an array of education, sports, faith, arts and supportive programs. The programs, as well as the building itself, have been designed to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit, to provide hope, and to transform the life of each and every member of the community.
Joan Kroc, wife of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, had a clear vision in mind: build state-of-art recreational and arts facilities in underserved communities throughout the nation to ensure that all individuals have equal opportunities to grow their natural gifts and talents. In 2003, Mrs. Kroc passed away, and entrusted to The Salvation Army the largest gift ever given to a private charity for the express purpose of building and endowing Kroc Centers.
A fulfillment of Joan Kroc’s vision, the Kroc Center in San Francisco, is comprised of five major components: a Center of Worship, an Education Center, an Aquatics Center, a Fitness and Recreation Center, and Special Event Facilities.
