Medical/Legal Advocates
Medical/Legal Advocate Volunteers provide in person, 24-hour response and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence, and non-offending significant others. The 24-hour response is conducted at select hospitals and police districts, and courthouses in the communities we serve.
Volunteer Commitment is 1 year, 2-12 Hour Shifts a month
Training & Time commitment:
All volunteers required to complete a 40+ Hour Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training that explores the emotional, medical, and legal aspects of sexual assault. The training also addresses the institutional impact of sexual violence in our culture and communities.
We require our volunteers to commit to a minimum of one year of service.
Trainings are offered throughout the year at multiple locations.
FY19 PRICES:
Volunteer Individual:$65.00
1 year contract
Professional Individual:$285.00
